Adhish defeats Aditya in all-Maha Under-13 clash

PUNE: Fifth seeded Adhish Kancharla of Mumbai scored an upset win over No 3 seed Aditya Chandani 12-10, 11-4, 11-8 and stormed into the semi-finals of the Boys Under-13 category on a day when a few more seeded players too were shown the exit door at the Bakeway-Srujan Isquash Junior and Senior Open Squash Championship’ at the CSK Sports Club squash courts in Mundhwa on Monday.

In other action, Mithali Surana of Tamil Nadu, Saisha Gupta and Adhish Kancharla of Mumbai upset seeded players in their respective events and moved into semifinals. 

In the girls Under 15 category fifth seeded Mumbai girl Saisha upset No 2 seed Tiana Parasrampuria 11-5, 12-10, 10-12, 9-11, 12-10 to move into the semifinals, while fifth seeded Mithali Surana of Tamil Nadu upset third seeded Aishwaria Payyan of Tealangana 11-6, 11-3, 11-6. Top seeded Kaavya Bansal of Maharashtra eased past Saniya Jaggi 11-5, 11-7, 11-2.
