Vedant, Bhushan, Pranjal, Riya in finals

PUNE: Vedant Natu, Bhushan Potnis, Pranjal Satpute and Riya Bhalerao stormed into the finals of their respective categories in the Solaris-Ravetkar Cup District Ranking Badminton Tournament in progress at the Mayur Colony courts here on Friday.

In the boys Under-13 semi-finals, Vedant put out Devesh Goel 15-11, 15-10  to set up a title clash with Om Hojage who ended Krishna Bora’s run 15-6, 15-7.

In the Under-13 girl’s battle Riya Bhalerao downed Udita Bichadu 15-11, 15-9 and Aanchal Jain got the better of Ananya Deshpande 15-5, 15-5.

In the Under-11 section, Konark Inchekar eased past Akshay Ghaisas 15-0, 15-12 and set up a top-place face off with Sarthak Patankar who bundled out Sudip Khorate 15-5,15-4.
In the girl’s Under-11 battle, Ekisha Medane had a smoot run downing opponent Radha Gadgil with the score of 15-2, 15-0.

RESULTS: (Semifinals) 
Boys, Under-17: Bhushan Potnis bt Arya Kurkute 15-8, 15-7; Varad Talegaonkar bt Siddhesh Shinde 15-7, 2-15, 15-10.
Under-13: Vedant Natu bt Devesh Goel 15-11, 15-10; Om Hojage bt Krishna Bora 15-6, 15-7.
Under-11: Konark Inchekar bt Akshay Ghaisas 15-0, 15-12; Sarthak Patankar bt Sudip Khorate 15-5,15-4.

Girls:
Under-17: Shreya Shelar bt Sayee Palshikar 15-5, 15-8; Sawanee Karmarkar bt Saanvi Rane 15-8, 8-15, 15-13.
Under-13: Riya Bhalerao bt Udita Bichadu 15-11, 15-9; Aanchal Jain bt Ananya Deshpande 15-5, 15-5.
Under-11: Pranjal Satpute bt Advika Kamat 15-9, 15-11; Ekisha Medane bt Radha Gadgil 15-2, 15-0.
