Dhananjay Munde criticises BJP, Sena
Mumbai: Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council Dhananjay Munde on Monday criticised both the party's BJP and Shiv Sena and said these parties have betrayed and cheated the people of Konkan for the proposed Nanar project and the announcement made by State Industries Minister Subhash Desai for canceling the notification of May 18 is a farce.
He was talking to media persons here on the occasion of Shiv Sena president's rally at Nanar and Mr Desai's announcement of cancelling project notification.
Mr Munde added that while the department has not initiated any action to cancel notification of land acquisition in Nanar, this is just ''showbaazi'' by Mr Desai in front of Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray.
He raised several questions, including has Mr Desai taken the permission of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in this regard?, Has the state cabinet decided? Why would the Shiv Sena and his Minister keep quite till this project is known to come up in Nanar? ''I do not know whose words are taken seriously in Delhi, but both the BJP and the Shiv Sena ministers have lost faith among people about their work.
NCP is with Konkan residents, keeping in mind the need to mavke a decision about the project, he added.
