A day of emotional roller coaster

I owe you a beer tonight.’ Pretty much settles everything no matter what the deal is!

My Monday was full of events that touched the various aspects of human nature and emotions, making me struggle to find words.

As I struggled with the number lock of my bag, one of the guys in the hostel helped me tackle it. We will have beer together and just savour the moment, as he had already offered me one the other night when I told him I was a journalist.

The other incidence just shows that people are good at heart. Really.

So, one of the guys from a bunch of Peru fans woke me up on Monday morning and said something which would pass as a level 1 racism offence and I chose to ignore. Today morning, (Tuesday) he woke me up again (I badly needed that wake-up call), and could not stop apologising for what he’d said previous morning and he really meant it. So, whenever we will be together at night, he and his boy band will sing a song for me, and a couple of beers to go with it.

Talking about being good, a simple hug which I offered to my other roommate last night after hearing that he will be returning home because his father passed away, meant so much for him as he somehow didn’t allow emotions get the better of him but just said, “It’s so hard, thank you, brother!”

It was that kind of a day where events just unfold and at the end of the day, it’s just positivity that you feel...
