Vodafone Idea network down in Maharashtra: Users fume over poor connectivity

Pune: Vodafone Idea users in Maharashtra took to social media on Thursday complaining of connectivity issues. After incessant rains lashing Pune city on Wednesday leading to traffic congestion, Punekars on Thursday woke up with mobile network issue.

Many users of Vodafone Idea which is now VI are complaining about the network issue. Many users also took to Twitter raising their issues with the connectivity. Many users complained that there is zero connectivity for making calls or using the internet. The network is cropped up from last night and is currently unavailable. Many users have also complained about their plan activations for postpaid and prepaid connections. Also, there are cases, where people despite making timely payments are not receiving network connectivity.

“I have restarted my smartphone for atleast 10 times since morning. I am unable to connect to connect to the Vodafone network. I also re-inserted the SIM card multiple times. Also, due to no network available I am unable to connect to any human representative on 198,” complained Priyanka Deshmukh.

Not only Pune, multiple users in Solapur, Satara, Mumbai, Goa are complaining about the issue.

“Hi! This is a temporary issue, our team is working on it to ensure seamless network connectivity. Please allow us some time to get this sorted,” while replying one tweer, Vi Customer Care tweeted from its official account.

Statement from Official Spokesperson, Vodafone Idea Limited read, “Heavy rain in Pune has resulted in flooding of some areas including one of our key sites in the city. This has caused partial disruption in services for some customers. Our technical team is working dedicatedly to fully restore services soon. We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers.”
