While Narendra Modi has not specified what his address will be about, it is likely that he will speak about the COVID-19 situation in the country. He may also address the issue of farm bills or economy of the country.

In his March 19 address, Narendra Modi announced a ‘janta curfew’ on March 22. On March 24, he declared a 21-day nationwide lockdown. On April 14, he also extended the lockdown period till May 3. On April 3, in a video message, he asked the country to light lamps for frontline COVID-19 warriors on April 5.

Meanwhile, India's COVID-19 total is close to 76 lakhs but for the first time in nearly three months, the nation recorded less than 50,000 new cases in a day.
