JEE Main 2021: Exam dates to be finalised on Wednesday

The Education Minister also said that he will also inform about the number of attempts for the Engineering entrance test

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is scheduled to interact with all on Wednesday (December 16). The Education Minister will declare the JEE Main 2021 dates. He also said that he will also inform about the number of attempts for the Engineering entrance test.

Earlier, the Minister had interacted with students, teachers, parents and other stakeholders on December 10 to address the issues related to CBSE Board exams, JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021.

The development comes after the test-conducting agency had supposedly uploaded and then removed a statement of information on the engineering entrance exam on Tuesday, 15 December.

A few hours after the exam bulletin and an announcement declaring registrations opened for the JEE Main 2021 appeared on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). The Education Ministry later informed that there has been "no decision on dates yet" for the engineering entrance exam.

The education minister had earlier stated that the entrance exam will be conducted in more regional languages. Apart from English, it is likely that the exam will be held in Marathi, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
