Pune: Two apartments in the Raghubir Society of Pune’s Sadashiv Peth were targeted by thieves, who made off with valuables worth ₹18.12 lakh. The complaint was filed by Deepak Gyanendra Shah (age 43) at the Khadak Police Station.
According to Shah's complaint, the theft took place in Raghubir Society in the Natubaug area of Sadashiv Peth, where Shah resides. The thieves took advantage of an open door to Shah's apartment and stole gold jewelry and cash worth ₹17.6 lakh from a cupboard.
Additionally, another resident of the same society, Jayant Balasaheb Kulkarni (age 43), reported that cash and gold jewelry worth ₹27,950 were stolen from his apartment. Police suspect that the thief may have been someone familiar with the victims.
Daylight Burglary in Kothrud: Valuables Worth ₹1.02 Lakh Stolen
A daylight burglary occurred in Kothrud, where thieves broke into an apartment and stole valuables worth ₹1.02 lakh. The complaint was filed by Hitesh Prabhakar Dalvi (age 32, resident of Kothrud Gaothan) at the Kothrud Police Station.
According to Dalvi's complaint, the theft took place on Sunday, August 18, when the Dalvi family had gone out for work. The thieves broke the lock of the apartment and stole jewelry and cash worth ₹1.02 lakh from a cupboard in the bedroom.
Assistant Police Inspector Sanap is investigating the case.
