PMRDA starts work on road between Sus Road & Mahalunge

Pune: Officials of the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) have started work on a 2.5-km road connecting Mahalunge and Sus Road.

According to information provided by Chief of PMRDA Kiran Gitte, once the stretch of road from Mahalunge village to Sus Road is built, it will help IT employees reach Hinjawadi faster via Sus Road.

Gitte said that there was a high demand from senior citizens and IT employees working in the Hinjawadi area to repair the existing road as it was in a bad shape, following which PMRDA decided to start work on the stretch. It will cost Rs 7.67 crore to build the road, Gitte said.

Officials of the PMRDA further said that they will also be filling potholes on the several connecting roads in the area.

“Once the road is built, it will help Mahalunge residents reach Nande Chande village and also employees of Hinjawadi, who can go via Nande Chande village to Hinjawadi. Mahalunge village comes under the town planning scheme of PMRDA and we are working hard to provide all facilities to the village so that it becomes a role model for other town planning schemes,” Gitte said.
