Chennai Super Kings' IPL 2020 woes have extended with West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo ruled out for the remaining of the season.

Bravo is set to return after picking up a groin injury. "Bravo is ruled out with groin injury," Kasi Viswanathan, CEO of Chennai Super Kings, confirmed to Cricbuzz on Wednesday. "He will fly out tomorrow. The team management will decide if we need a replacement," he added.

The ‘Champion’ suffered the injury during the game against Delhi Capitals on October 17 and was able to bowl only three of his four overs. Bravo did not feature in the Chennai’s next game, against the Rajasthan Royals on Monday.

The 37-year-old missed the beginning of the season with a knee injury that he sustained at the Caribbean Premier League. He has since featured in six of the Chennai’s ten matches, witt six wickets at an economy rate of 8.57 and batting just twice scoring seven runs.

Chennai’s campaign has already been disrupted after seven losses from 10 matches. They are currently lying at the bottom of the points table. The Yellow Army were already constrained by absence of their star players Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina, both of whom pulled out stating personal reasons.
