It is a phenomenon that occurs when a full or new Moon coincidence with the Moon's Perigee called Perigee Syzygy.

Appearances

This alignment makes the moon appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than normal full moon and difference is noticeable to even naked eyes.

Tides

The Moon's closer proximity results in a slightly stronger gravitational pull, causing higher than usual tides, known as 'King Tides'.

Frequency

Supermoons are relatively common, typically occurring three to four times in year.

Beaver Moon

The Beaver Moon was the closest and brightest full moon of the year visible on November 5, 2025.

Next Supermoon

The next supermoon is scheduled for December 4, 2025. This will be the last of three consecutive full supermoons in 2025.
