Happy New Year 2021: 82 per cent of the people across Mumbai, Pune plan on buying residential property next year
Pune: Around 82 per cent of the people around major cities of India plan to purchase a residential property in 2021, as per the report from NoBroker.com. The survey was conducted across Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.
Last year, the purchase sentiment among the people was 64 per cent. The report titled 'India Real Estate Report 2020' showed that 89 per cent of people consider the ongoing phase as the best time for purchasing a house.
The report states that more than half of these potential homeowners indicated a preference for society flats (61 per cent). Over 28 per cent went for independent houses while 11 per cent opted for plots. Around 84 per cent of home owners wanted ready-to-move-in or resale houses.
The survey showed that budget continued to remain the most important factor in terms of choosing a property. The percentage of people looking to buy a house price over Rs 80 lakh has jumped substantially with almost 30 per cent buyers having this budget as compared to 17 per cent last year.
Recently, the average property prices in top seven cities also went up. Bengaluru, National Capital Region (NCR), Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata were the cities which witnessed a 38 per cent jump.
Among the cities, Pune reported the maximum rise of 67 per cent during the period.
