Pune: John Crane announced the opening of its super service centre in Bhosari during a press conference held in the city on Thursday. It is a service centre that supplies engineered technologies and services to process industries.
“Our new Pune super service centre not only provides key manufacturing support for our local market, but also acts as a Centre of Excellence for our machining capabilities, as well as an assembly centre for our local Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEMs),” said Philippe Lambert, Vice President, Asia-Pacific GeoMarket.
He said, “The addition of the Pune facility also provides us with a wide breadth of local talent, which brings valuable skills to our team, while also strengthening our engineering and service capabilities.”
“We did not have any presence in western part of India and this centre will be focusing on OEM’s customers from manufacturing which are from the western part of India and will be providing them with engineering products and services. Since Pune is a manufacturing hub and lot of OEMs are based here and with the presence of our centre they will get the products and services faster,” said Rajeev Patwardhan, Managing Director, John Crane (India).
