PUNE: Upholding its 400-year-old tradition of integrity, transparency and honesty, Krishna Rajaram Ashtekar (KRA) Jewellers opened its showroom near Gadital, Hadapsar, recently. The inauguration was done by Satish Magar, President, CREDAI.
This is the 8th outlet opened by the jewellers across the State. This information was given by Director KRA Atul Ashtekar during a press conference. Dignitaries including Krishna Rajaram Ashtekar, Radhika Krishna Ashtekar, actress and Brand Ambassador Shruti Marathe, Amol Ashtekar and Vipul Ashtekar were present at the inauguration.
Hadapsar being a prime commercial area, with a large number of jewellery buyers, the jewellers decided to establish a 2,000 sq ft outlet, which stocks gold, silver and diamond jewellery. The showroom will also have a special section for ‘Temple Jewellery’, while one section will be for ‘9 to 5’ daily wear diamond jewellery at affordable rates.
Atul Ashtekar said, “We have been into jewellery business since the past 400 years. Hailing from Ashti Dhotar Joda village in Jalna district in Marathwada, our ancestors conducted business by visiting various villages and town bazaars on weekends to trade in jewellery. But during the British era, the British had put a halt to all the commerce and forced the traders to deal only in indigo, which resulted in shutting down of local businesses.”
