On Friday, it was announced that AjayDevgn will star and produce the Hindi remake of Tamil hit Kaithi. The 2019 action thriller originally starred Tamil actor Karthi along with Narain and Dheena.
The Hindi remake will be produced by Ajay Devgn Films (ADF), Reliance Entertainment and Dream Warrior Pictures, and is set to release on February 12, 2021.
Confirming the news of his social media handle, Ajay Devgn wrote, “Yes, I’m doing the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Kaithi. Releases on February 12, 2021.

Kaithi follows a recently freed prisoner — Dilli, while en route to meet his daughter for the first time in life. When a number of police officers are poisoned at a party following a drug bust, an inspector enlists Dilli’s help to drive the officers to hospital in a lorry, in exchange for seeing his daughter. In the journey, they face several criminals and must race against time to reach hospital and also save a police station which is about to come under siege.
