We live in a time when almost every other day a new phone hits the market. While some are really expensive, some are value for money. The Asus Zenfone 5Z is moderately priced and packs in a lot of features to enhance the user experience and also looks smart and sleek. Here’s what you will discover:

Design

Well, who does not like a good-looking phone? The glass back with shiny circular patterns and smooth edges are definitely a plus point when it comes to the Zenfone 5Z. But a phone that fits perfectly in your hand is a clear winner. Though you might refrain from using a glass phone because if you drop, it may crack, however, the Zenfone 5Z’s body is sturdy and lets you have a good grip.

And the best part is that the phone is lightweight. Weighing 150 gm (approx), the phone is light and not at all uncomfortable to hold.

Display

The Zenfone 5Z sports a huge 6.2 inch full HD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio, which makes the display pretty massive and sturdy with Gorilla Glass that protects the display screen. It definitely adds to the sharp display, making the images to pop on screen, literally from all angles.

The colour temperature sensor adjusts the brightness on the phone, which is very accurate so you won’t have to take the effort to do it.

Performance

The Zenfone 5Z uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor which is quite sturdy even while playing graphic-intensive games like PUBG (the phone does not lag nor hang).

The phone runs smooth even with multiple applications open in the background and downloading a few more.

I am the kind of person who is constantly using the phone so what I really liked about the Zenfone 5Z is the speed at which it charges and, most importantly, the battery does not drain fast. When the battery is completely discharged, it takes slightly over an hour and a couple of minutes to charge the phone’s battery which is 3300mAh from 0 to 100 per cent and then you are good to go for the entire day. And all this happens without heating up the phone’s body.

Camera

What is a phone without a good camera? The camera in the Zenfone 5Z does not fail to impress with the phone sporting a dual camera with a 12 megapixel primary camera and an 8 megapixel wide angle camera.
While some users may like clicking pictures on the automatic mode, some may not, so Zenfone 5Z even has a professional mode wherein one can control pretty much everything. The  photographs come out really well with great detailing and even better colours.

The front camera too delivers edgy selfies and is a total winner and also has a built in vanity which really helps your face illuminate even when you don’t have any makeup on.

The front camera also helps with the Face Unlock feature.

Other specifications

The phone comes with Android 8.0 Oreo with its UI layer — Zen UI and with all Android version updates to keep the phone running smoothly. The phone sports a hybrid SIM tray for two nano sims or a single sim and a microSD for extra storage.

While listening to music, a feature that users will find very attractive is the stereo speaker setup, so you don’t need the earphones then. Well, mind you, the music can get really loud but if you want louder music, you can opt for the outdoor speaker option. So are you ready to party? Come, join in!
