Liam Neeson ticked off working with Manville from his bucket list

Legendary Irish actor Liam Neeson is known to deliver power packed performances across his career spanning 42 years. He rose to fame in 1993 with Schindler’s List and later on went on to star in highly successful films - Taken, Les Miserables, Clash of the Titans and Silence to name a few.

Liam’s recent film, Ordinary Love premiered in Toronto International Film Festival last year and his and his co-star, the talented Lesley Manville’s performance in the tear-jerking romantic drama has been met with critical acclaim. The chemistry between the pair has been termed ‘electric’.

Liam has worked with multiple actors in the past, however, this time with Lesley, it was something special. He admits falling in love with Lesley’s talent since the first time they both properly met, which was after Lesley’s Broadway performance in Eugene O’Neil’s Long Day’s Journey Into Night.

“She commanded the stage for three and half hours,” Liam recalled with admiration.

“Lesley is one of those truly great actresses. She appears effortless on screen and of course that masks over 40 years’ experience. I can tick off my bucket list having worked with her; it’s been a joy,” he adds.

Lesley is also all praise for him.  She says, “It was marvellous working with Liam. Thankfully we got on and it was a fantastic experience. I looked forward to every day on set with him, working it all out together.”

Ordinary Love will be released in India by PVR Pictures on February 14.
