Mammootty to promote son Dulquer’s debut film ‘Karwaan’

The south star Dulquer Salman is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Karwaan, produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP in association with Priti Rathi Gupta’s Ishka Films. What makes it special is, Malayalam cinema’s superstar and Dulquer’s father Mammootty will be playing an integral part in film promotion.

“Mammootty is busy with his South commitments but wants to do his bit for his son’s Hindi debut. He will take some time off from his own films in the run-up to Karwaan’s release,” informs a source.

Mammootty would be accompanying Dulquer for a promotional event in Mumbai and a special screening in Bangalore. The delighted father says, “Today the business of film promotion has changed drastically. I was delighted to learn that the team has some interesting plans for Dulquer. I will be there by his side throughout.”

Directed by Akarsh Khurana, Karwaan is a light hearted film that also stars Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. The story revolves around the three of them who are on a road trip from Bangalore to Kochi.

According to sources, the trailer of the film will be attached to Sanju. It has been shot in the beautiful locales of Kerala and is set to release later this year.
