The relaxing river city

The relaxing river city

Brisbane, unlike most Aussie metropolises, is not a beach city. It lies on the banks of the Brisbane River which cuts across the city creating extensive nightlife scene across both sides. The river surrounds offer exhilarating recreational activities such as canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing and aboriginal cultural experiences. The kayaking sessions provide opportune moments to view Brisbane city from a unique angle while you glide along the meandering river.

Tangalooma Island Resort is a perfect family holiday destination around Brisbane. For people seeking a modest yet distinctive expedition, the nature-based theme is an ideal destination. The park offers a plethora of leisure activities such as ATV quad bike tours, marine discovery cruise, the desert safari tour, including sand tobogganing and snorkelling around sunken shipwrecks. The star attraction activity at the resort is hand-feeding a pod of wild bottlenose dolphins.

This pretty much sums up my incredible travel experiences in Australia. Oh and how could I forget the food! Australia offers some of the finest cuisines in the world, using produce so fresh that very little needs to done to the final preparation. Be it a fancy restaurant or a roadside stall, everything on the plate is garden fresh. If you are a seafood lover like me then you owe yourself a pilgrimage to Australia just for the sheer diversity and deliciousness of seafood available here.

Fans of shellfish, crabs and oysters can spend an entire day at the local farms that catch them fresh from the sea and land them straight on your table. The beers and wines here can beat some of the finest around the world. Australians harbour a special love for barbecue dishes and you can find barbecue literally anywhere like on the beaches which are set up there for public use.

Last but not the least, you will surely make some amazing friends along the way while traveling in Australia. Australians are amiable and warm people. You meet them for thirty seconds and you feel like you have known them your entire life. This trip has given me some unforgettable experiences which I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am sure it will do the same for you.
