Smita Gondkar bags ‘Monsoon Football’ post Bigg Boss Marathi
Smita Gondkar, who became the 2nd runner up in Marathi Bigg Boss, has bagged her first film. Smita will be seen in the much-awaited Marathi movie Monsoon Football, which is directed by Milind Ukey. The movie is based on women’s empowerment and how a group of housewives come together to play football in sarees in order to win back their self respect.
Smita will be seen playing an NGO activist who supports this women’s football team. When asked Milind about his experience of working with Smita in the film he said, “This is the second movie that I am doing with Smita, it is always good to work with a talented actresss like her. She has played her role well and I am sure her fans would appreciate her efforts and hardwork.”
The actress was previously seen in films like Mumbaicha Dabewala, Satya — More Than Human, Baiko No.1, Golmaal etc.
Monsoon Football also stars actors like Sagarika Ghatge, Vidya Malwade, Delnaz Irani, Usha Naik, Pritam Kagne, Neha Jawade and Amol Kagne in the film. The movie which is set to release in January 2019 has already begun winning hearts of the locals. ST
