He as considered one of the leading nation-builders.
The man behind the Krishna Raja Sagara Dam in Mysuru as well as the flood guard system for Hyderabad, he was conferred the Bharat Ratna in 1955 and was awarded British knighthood by King George V.

We knew that this would be the first film to come to your mind! One of the highest-grossing Bollywood films is still considered a stellar hit amongst the masses. The film narrates the ups and downs of three friends studying together at a reputed engineering college in India. The underlining theme of the Aamir Khan starrer is –- if you enter the rat race, in the end, you will be a rat. Isn't this a world problem now?
The Raj Kumar Hirani-directed film was inspired by a Chetan Bhagat novel - Five Point Someone.
Apollo 13
Inarguably one of the best science fiction movies ever created. The film revolves around a plot where NASA's Apollo mission has sent three astronauts to the moon. The mission to the moon is known as Apollo 13. On their way, the spaceship ends up dented, and so, NASA has to frame a plan for the safe return of all three astronauts back to Earth. Swades
Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, Swades stars Shah Rukh Khan, and arguably, it's his greatest performance on the silver screen. The drama that deals with social issues in rural India is also an inspiring movie for the engineers and NRIs.
The story revolves around an engineer employed with NASA, who returns from the US to India, trying to resolve the problems in a village. Swades is regarded as one of the finest Indian films.

The Matrix
One of the most incredible action movies, The Matrix, which released in 1999, is inspired by a simulation system called 'The Matrix '. Some powerful computers have made this system. The Matrix is capable of constructing and changing the complete reality of human beings. The main character of the film starts an underground war against these powerful computers.
A must-watch in the bank of a 90s kid, the film remains popular with all ages.
The Martian
Released in 2015, the Martian is based on Andy Weir's 2011 novel which goes by the same name. The film is about a man who has been stranded on Mars. His companion and researcher teams accidentally leave him behind on the red planet after assuming he's dead, only to find out later that he is alive.
Chhichhore
Sushant Singh Rajput's demise has left us with a massive void. Ironically, the last film that released while Sushant was alive was the 2019 acclaimed hit, Chhichhore, a film whose plot revolves around an attempted suicide.
Directed by an IIT Bombay graduate, Nitesh Tiwari (of Dangal fame), the film is set in an engineering college where seven friends meet and create memories for life. They participate in an inter-hostel sports championship and gel well. The characters (played by Sushant, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Naveen Polishetty, Saharsh Kumar Shukla and Tushar Pandey) are called 'losers', a tag that goes on to stick with them permanently.
