YouTuber Anurag Dobhal Shares 'Last Vlog' Amidst Claims of Family Torture Over Inter-Caste Marriage
Anurag Dobhal, a YouTuber and participant of Bigg Boss 17, widely recognized as UK07 Rider, recently posted a troubling message on Instagram, alleging that he experienced mental harassment and abuse. He mentioned his intention to disclose the identities of those responsible. Subsequently, the YouTuber published a video detailing his experience, referring to it as his final video, and accused his parents and siblings of 'torturing' him.
Anurag Dobhal accuses his parents and brother of 'abusing' him
Anurag announced that he is leaving YouTube and that this vlog will be his final one. He became emotional and cried while sharing his struggles, stating, "In recent months, my life has changed so drastically that I never imagined it would knock me down and leave me in pieces like this."
In a two-hour video, the YouTuber recounted the challenging periods in his life, such as being diagnosed with a brain tumor at 14, dealing with family pressure regarding his education, and eventually taking on tutoring jobs to pursue his aspirations. He mentioned that he has consistently prioritized his parents' needs over his own. He shared that he met his current wife, Ritika, through social media after she persistently messaged him for 2 to 3 years as a fan, and he eventually responded. He stated that they dated for another two years before deciding to marry, although his family did not support the decision.
Anurag discloses that he tried to take his own life
The YouTuber claimed that just six days before his wedding, his parents decided not to attend, leaving him to handle the entire event by himself. He stated, 'I was made to fold my hands and beg, touch their feet, and apologize in front of all the relatives. My dad and mom tortured me to the point where they said, ‘We will neither be happy nor let you be happy.' He alleged that because he married someone from a different caste, his parents refused to accept the marriage and barred him and Ritika from entering the house. He also mentioned that he attempted suicide.
He disclosed that even his wife, Ritika, had abandoned him. In the video, he stated, "My death will be the responsibility of my mother, father, Kalam (brother), and Shreya. I am overwhelmed with depression. I don't know how to get rid of this feeling. After this video, I might disappear. I just want to sleep. I haven't eaten for five days, and my mind is completely drained." He also included what he claimed were evidence in the video, accusing his brother Kalam of taking everything from him, including his properties and dogs, by threatening to "expose" him on social media.
He also wrote a message in Hindi stating, "After I'm gone, Shreya, Mum, and Dad might say various things or even lie, but I was not at fault. Ritika, many people influenced and deceived you, but I always loved you and did everything for you. However, you trusted others, believed their words, made poor choices, and left me. I cherished my child, and that was my only hope. I wish you had trusted me. I wish you hadn't believed others. I wish you had supported me. You were swayed by many who were not genuinely loyal to anyone. After I'm gone, at least stand up for me and my child and tell the truth. I never wanted to prove you wrong, but after I'm gone, please stand up and fight for our dignity."
Anurag Dobhal tied the knot with his long-time partner, Ritika, in May of the previous year. They posted photos and videos from their wedding day on social media, and in September, the couple revealed they were expecting their first child.
