Priyanka Chopra’s ‘The White Tiger’ roared its way into Twitterati’s hearts; celebrates with Nick Jonas

Directed by Ramin Bahrani, ‘The White Tiger’ stars Priyanka Chopra, Rajkummar Rao, and Adarsh Gourav in lead roles.

Priyanka Chopra and Rajkummar Rao’s 'The White Tiger' released on Friday. The duo has been actively promoting their new Netflix film online for a couple of days. Even though it’s been a day after its release, the film has been winning praise from Twitteratis.

While one social media platform user applauded the “breathtaking commentary on the daily struggles in a divided society,” another praised the performances given by the actors.

One of the anticipated films on Netflix is directed by American-Iranian filmmaker Ramin Bahrani and stars Adarsh Gourav in a central role. 'The White Tiger' is based on Aravind Adiga's Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name. The Mary Kom actress is also attached to the project as an executive producer with Emmy award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay.

In the film, Priyanka and Rajkummar are seen as an affluent couple, who are living with their family in India after returning from the US. Adarsh is seen as their driver, Balram Halwai.

The film grabbed everyone’s attention as soon as it was announced. Although just before the release of the film it was drawn into a court case. Hours before its release, however, the Delhi High Court refused to stay the release of the film on the OTT platform.

Priyanka took to Instagram to celebrate the positive reception of her film with husband Nick Jonas.
