The trailer for Aditya Dhar's film Dhurandhar premiered in Mumbai on Tuesday. Ranveer Singh expressed high admiration for his 20-year-old co-star Sara Arjun, who is making her Bollywood debut with this movie. He described her as a child prodigy and even likened her to Hollywood actress Dakota Fanning. Here's what he had to say.
Ranveer Singh likens Sara Arjun to Dakota Fanning
Ranveer highly praised Sara, describing her as one of the best actors he has worked with. He remarked, 'Sara is a prodigy; you can tell some people are prodigies from a young age, similar to Dakota Fanning in Hollywood. Sara, it's a testament to your talent that you outshone thousands of other candidates to secure this role. It seems as if she has already acted in 50 films. She is incredibly precocious both as a person and a performer. You are among the finest actors I have collaborated with,' he stated.
Ranveer expressed his appreciation for Sara's role in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan films, stating, 'You enhance my appearance, and I am sincerely grateful for that. It's hard to believe this is your debut film. Clearly, you've also worked in Mani Ratnam's films, and this is when the world will recognize your talent.'
For those unfamiliar, Sara portrayed a young Nandini, the character played by Aishwarya Rai, in the historical dramas. She became well-known in 2011 for her role as Vikram's daughter in the Tamil movie Deiva Thirumagal. Her performance in the 2014 film Saivam, produced by Vijay, earned her critical praise.
