The release date for Toxic has been delayed.

On Wednesday, March 4, the actor-producer released a statement from the creators of Toxic, announcing a new release date for the movie. The statement said, 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is a film we envisioned to create cinema for an international audience. Shot in Kannada and English, it is crafted with the aim to engage viewers both locally and globally. After years of hard work, we were eager to present our film to everyone on March 19. However, the current uncertainty, particularly in the Middle East, has created a situation that affects our objective to reach and engage with the broadest audience possible.'

The announcement concluded with a revised release date. 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is set to premiere in theaters worldwide in both English and Indian languages on June 4, 2026,' it stated.

Toxic, a film directed by Geetu Mohandas, features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in prominent roles. The intensely violent action story stirred significant interest following the release of its look and teaser, both of which sparked some controversy.

Is Dhurandhar 2 benefiting from Toxic's setback?

The delay of Toxic is favorable for Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar 2, set to premiere on March 19, as it was previously competing with the Yash-led film. Aditya Dhar's spy thriller might now enjoy an exclusive release on that date.
