John Cena shares Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor's photos on Instagram

Former WWE wrestler turned Hollywood actor John Cena has always shown his affection towards India and Indian celebrities. He joined the nation at large to pay homage to late Bollywood legends- Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan.

In his recent Instagram post, Cena posted a still image of Irrfan Khan from the movie 'Life of Pi' and a picture of Rishi Kapoor. He, however, did not post any caption on the pictures in his usual cryptic style.

Among other Hollywood actors who paid tribute to late Bollywood, icons include Angelina Jolie, Chris Pratt, Natalie Portman, Salma Hayek, Director Ang Lee and others.

Cena posted Irrfan Khan's picture on May 2.

Irrfan Khan, died at the age of 53 from colon infection on April 29. He had a successful career not just in Bollywood but also in British and the US cinema. He was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben hospital's intensive care unit on April 28 with a colon infection, and a statement was released the next morning confirming his death. His contrasting roles in his two Oscar-winners: Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and Ang Lee's film Life of Pi (2012) alone indicated his range.

Rishi Kapoor's picture was posted two days before Irrfan Khan's picture.

Rishi Kapoor died at 67, after a two-year leukaemia battle. Rishi took his last breath at Mumbai's Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital on April 30, according to the family statement.

Kapoor began acting as a teenager, winning the National Film Award for his debut role as a child artist in Mera Naam Joker, his father's 1970 film. He was well known for his romantic leads, singing and dancing talents. The actor's death came a day after that of another Bollywood icon, Irrfan Khan.

Both the actors were battling cancer for the last two years.

Fans immediately flooded John Cena's comments section with heart and heart-breaking emojis, "Rest in Peace", "Legend posting about legend", "RIP...Irrfan Khan", "RIP Rishi Kapoor", and many more.

Earlier this year Cena also posted pictures of Bigg Boss 13 contestant Asim Riaz. The image was also not captioned back then when he posted. John often posts memes and pictures of random people on his Instagram without any caption or background, leaving it to his followers to infer the inspiration behind his postings.
