Shailendra Singh to get fans close to celebrities through ‘myFanPark’

Thanks to a major deal struck with Shailendra Singh, myFanPark will soon launch in India, allowing fans to connect with those they admire the most, in a personal and authentic manner.

Awarded as one of South Africa’s Top 5 start-ups in 2019, myFanPark has already experienced great success through the delivery of personalised video messages of motivation, inspiration, hope and joy. These messages from famous sports stars and entertainment icons are becoming the new way that people surprise, spoil and treat each other with — be it to congratulate a friend on their birthday or wedding, encouraging a student as they prepare for exams, or wishing an aspiring sports star good luck ahead of a big game.

Singh, who managed the careers of Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kapil Dev and did many celebrity brand associations with actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan and many more, says, “Connecting fans to their heroes and giving them the opportunity to experience the sheer excitement of getting a personalised message from their idol is incredibly powerful and something I just had to be a part of. The launch of myFanPark in India is a massive opportunity for us to unlock the positive power that our local heroes possess to uplift, inspire and motivate their fans on a personal level.”

myFanPark Chairman, Iain Banner, adds, “America has already seen the incredible opportunity and success with Chicago-based Cameo, a similar platform that includes 18,000 celebrities and famous faces from predominantly American pop culture, sports and social influencers. We believe the scale and opportunity in the Indian market for myFanPark will exceed that of Cameo in America, who was valued at $300 million dollars after closing $50 million in a Series B funding in 2019.”

Singh recently returned from South Africa where he met the myFanPark founding team Jean de Villiers, Dylan Des Fountain, Wouter Lombard and CEO Joy Des Fountain, who echoed Singh’s excitement and said, “We can’t wait to introduce myFanPark to the Indian market, giving Indians around the world access to their favourite stars.”
