Sia yesterday unveiled her new single titled Together that starts her longtime collaborator Maddie Ziegler is a host of cheerful colours and rainbows--just what we need to see to feel happy.
The track is written by Sia and Jack Antonoff and produced by Antonoff with additional production by Jesse Shatkin.
The peppy tune is a part of Sia’s upcoming album and film, both titled Music. The release date has not yet been announced.
The video features key cast members, along with a group of delighted dancing children, all wearing outfits themed after clouds and rainbows. The music video looks like a handful of happiness with the phenomenal high-energy dance by Ziegler leading a high-energy dance in a technicolor room, culminating in a wild game of musical chairs.

The movie was announced back in 2015 at the Venice FIlm Festival and stars Kate Hudson, Maddie Ziegler and Hamilton star Leslie Odom Jr. The film is Sia’s first ever directorial gig and she has co-written and co-produced Music with Dallas Clayton and producer Vincent Landay. The story of the movie follows Zu played by Kate who is a newly sober woman figuring out her place in the world when she learns that she is going to become the sole guardian of her half-sister, Music (Ziegler), a young girl on the autism spectrum.
Together is one of the 10 new songs that the pop-singer has written and featured in the film.
Music explores two of Sia’s favourite themes — finding your voice and what it means to create family, a press release for the film states.
For a singer who doesn’t like revealing her face, just revealed her heart when during an interview she mentioned that she had adopted two teenage boys last year who were aging out of foster care.
Earlier this year, Sia was featured on the South Korean group BTS’ single “On.” In 2019, she partnered with Diplo and Labrinth for the project LSD, releasing their debut album Labrinth, Sia & Diplo Present … LSD and recently released her new song “Saved My Life,” co-written by Sia, Dua Lipa and the track’s producer Greg Kurstin in wake of COVID 19.
