Mumbai: "As the Maharashtra State's Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray is just sitting at home, he has no control over his administration. Thus, the condition of the coronavirus pandemic in the Maharashtra state has become very worst and there is a serious situation." said BJP's MP Narayan Rane on Thursday.
On Thursday, Bhartiya Janata Party MP, Narayan Rane, was addressing a press conference in Mumbai, when he criticised the Mahrashtra government on their handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in the state.
Addressing media he said, "While handling the sensitive issue of corona, there is a lack of coordination seen in the government and its ministers. As Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray does not leave the house, he does not know the exact situation in the state and what people are undergoing due to this pandemic. The situation is dire as the rulers have no control over the administration. Maharashtra has the highest number of patients in the country, with the highest number of deaths. Uttar Pradesh is the most populous state in the country. However, the number of patients in this state is less than in Maharashtra."
He further pointed out that, "CM Thackeray is sitting at home, but Leader of the Opposition Devendra Fadnavis is touring the state to inspect the situation. He is talking to medical health workers, the police and others in the administration to understand their problems, issues, and the ground realities."
Rane also commented on NCP supermo and MP, Sharad Pawar's recent marathon interview conducted by Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. He said, "Instead of seeking guidance from a senior most leader like Pawar on the critical situation the state is currently facing, the interview was mostly based on the political developments of the past. The interview may have been conducted to divert the public's attention from the critical situation in the state."
He added, "Although a month has passed after the Nisarg cyclone in Konkan, the victims have not yet received any help nor compensation from the alliance government. CM Thackeray should appoint good lawyers to represent the government on Maratha reservation."
