Pune: Junnar farmers PM Kisan scheme instalment mistakenly deposited in Osmanabad mans bank account

Pune: A farmer did not receive his Rs 8,000 installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Yojana (PMKSY)… He approached the citizen facilitation centre (Maha e-Seva Kendra) with the help of a social worker… The officer at the centre contacted the bank who in turn gathered information about the instalment… It was revealed that the installment amount was being mistakenly deposited in a bank account of another man from Osmanabad… The man returned the instalment amount to the farmer on Tuesday (September 1).

This incident took place at Sakori in Junnar Tehsil, where the farmer was residing. He was helped by social activist Dnyaneshwar Mule from Sakori village. The officer at the facilitation centre was Sunil Vishwasrao and the man who returned the money was Mayur Mote from Osmanabad.

Government officials are often criticised for their apathy towards citizens, but the farmer got a pleasant surprise with all the concerned departments and agencies readily helping him get the money. The entire experience for the farmer was hassle-free.

When Vishwasrao was informed about the case, he himself dialled Mote and asked him about the transaction. Later, Mote himself paid a visit to the old farmer at Sakori and handed over all the money deposited in his bank account to the concerned farmer. Recognising his honesty, Mote was felicitated by Sakori villagers on this occasion.

Meanwhile, Rs 6,000 under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Yojana were deposited in the bank account of Budhan Bepari, a Tamasha artist from Belhe. This amount was supposed to be deposited in the bank account of a farmer from Belhe.

Last week, the artist Bepari honestly returned the money to the farmer concerned. At that time, the concerned Tamasha artiste was felicitated on behalf of Belhe villagers. Meanwhile, Sunil Vishwasrao and Ganesh Chore were also felicitated on behalf of the villagers.
