Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, one of the world’s busiest travel hubs, handles millions of passengers across Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Travelers move between terminals via metro, shuttle, or on foot, but a recent Instagram video has gone viral for showcasing the airport’s remarkable precision: the shuttle arrived in exactly 11 seconds, perfectly matching the real-time countdown on the display board.

In the video, a person is heard saying that while the Delhi Metro is usually considered the benchmark for punctuality, the IGI airport shuttle service was impressively on par. Pointing to the display board, which showed just 11 seconds until arrival, the user panned the camera as the shuttle pulled up, right on schedule.

"How accurate a transport system can be? Learn technology implementation from the Delhi transport system. They started showing shuttle service waiting time in seconds. What???? Yes, you heard it right. Go and check Delhi Airport Terminal 3," the user captioned the video.

Passengers can use inter-terminal shuttle services to travel between T1 and T2, T1 and T3, T3 and T1, and T2 and T1. To get from T3 to T2, travelers have the option to walk or take a shuttle. Additionally, metro feeder services are available for the routes T1 to T2 or T2 to T1, and cabs can be booked for terminal transfers.

The development of Terminals 1, 2, and 3 facilitated IGI Airport's transformation into a hub for 100 million travelers by 2023. By 2025, IGI became part of the prestigious group of global airports handling over 100 million passengers annually, with a capacity to manage 109 million. As per information from the Official Airline Guide and airport operators, only six airports globally are part of this exclusive category.
