COVID-19 impact: UPSC appeals aspirants to submit a choice of centre soon
Pune: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be conducting the Civil Services Preliminary Examination, including the Indian Forest Service Preliminary Examination, on coming Sunday. This examination will be held as per the revised programme of examinations/RTs published.
Since a large number of candidates appear for the Civil Services exam every year, and due to the requests that the Commission has received from the candidates to change their centres, it has been decided to allow aspirants to submit their revised choice of centre soon.
Apart from the same, the option to change the centres for the Civil Services (Main) Examination and the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination is also being made available for the candidates.
The candidate's request for change will be considered against the additional/enhanced capacity, which will be intimated by the centres for accommodating these additional students.
The window of submitting the revised choice of centres will be operational in two phases. One phase is between July 7 to 13, till 6 pm, and the other deadline is between July 20 to 24 July.
This can be done by logging into the Commission's website: https://upsconline.nic.in. The aspirant candidates are advised to visit the website and submit their choices of centres of the above, examination if required.
The candidates should have to note that their requests for change in the centres will be considered based on the principle of 'first-apply-first allot' basis. This will be followed for all the examinations of the Commission. Once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen. The candidates, who cannot get a centre of their choice will be required to choose a from the remaining ones.

CSP DATE: 12/02/2020 for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination
Examination notice of 06/2020:
IFoS DATE: 12/02/2020 of the Indian Forest Service Examination remains unchanged.
In addition to the above, the commission will also make a withdrawal window available to the candidates on the Commission's website https://upsconline.nic.in during the period between August 1 to 8.
The UPSC authority has cautioned that the candidates that once the application has been withdrawn, it cannot be revived in future under any circumstances.
