Taking to Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Jackie shared a portrait of Dr. Kalam and wrote:

Dr. Kalam served as India’s 11th President from 2002 to 2007. But he was much more than any other political figure. He was an aerospace scientist, teacher, dreamer. And he believed in the power of youth and innovation.

This year, admirers of Dr. Kalam have an additional reason to honor his legacy. His remarkable life story is being adapted into a film. A biographical movie named 'Kalam' was officially revealed earlier this year at the Cannes Film Festival. The film will star National Award-winning actor Dhanush in the main role, depicting the late scientist and President.

Directed by Om Raut, recognized for 'Adipurush', the film reportedly explores the lesser-known facets of Kalam as a poet, philosopher, and educator who integrated science with spirituality. The movie is produced by Abhishek Agarwal (Abhishek Agarwal Arts), Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar (T-Series), and Anil Sunkara.
