Pune: In anticipation of singer Arijit Singh's live concert on March 16, the Pimpri-Chinchwad police have implemented traffic diversions and restrictions around the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium. The concert is set to begin at 5 PM, and heavy traffic is expected in the area. To manage congestion and ensure smooth vehicular movement, police have issued a detailed traffic advisory.
Traffic Diversions for Concert Attendees:
Mumbai-Pune Expressway:
Vehicles coming via Dehu Road exit must turn left towards Mamurdi and use the service road to reach the stadium.
Those coming from the expressway should take a U-turn at Kiwale Bridge towards Mukai Chowk and proceed to the stadium via the service road.
Shitala Devi Temple Route:
Vehicles should turn left via Lekha Farm and take the service road to the stadium.
Old Mumbai-Pune Highway:
Attendees should take a U-turn from Central Chowk towards Sai Nagar Phata for parking.
Traffic Plan for Pune Arrivals:
Vehicles from the Pune-Bengaluru Expressway should turn left at Kiwale Bridge and use the service road to reach the stadium.
Vehicles from Nigdi and Hanging Bridge will be diverted via Ravet Chowk, Bhondve Chowk, and Krishna Chowk towards the stadium.
Road Closures Post-Event:
The Mamurdi village route from Ruhij Biryani to Masulkar Farm will be closed for vehicles.
Mukai Chowk and Kiwale Underpass will be off-limits for traffic heading towards Mumbai after the concert.
Authorities urge attendees to follow the designated routes and plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
