Pune: The Bhosari Police Station under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has secured the fourth position among Maharashtra's top five police stations for its exemplary performance in maintaining law and order and preventing crime. This achievement has brought recognition and pride to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate.
The recognition came after an evaluation process aimed at identifying the best-performing police stations across India. The initiative, conducted at the national level, selected the top 10 police stations in the country. For this, five police stations from Maharashtra were shortlisted based on a detailed assessment by a committee.
The selected police stations include Shivajinagar (Kolhapur district), Deglur (Nanded district), Virgaon (Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district), Bhosari (Pimpri-Chinchwad), and Shirol (Kolhapur district).
Bhosari Police Station's achievement is attributed to the concerted efforts of key officers, including then Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash, current Police Commissioner Ankush Shinde, then Joint Commissioner Sanjay Shinde, then Additional Commissioner Ramnath Pokale, and former Senior Police Inspector Bhaskar Jadhav. Their leadership played a significant role in enhancing the station's operational efficiency.
The assessment process focused on parameters such as efficiency, performance, crime prevention, and law and order maintenance. Such recognitions serve as a motivational tool for police personnel to continue delivering exceptional service.
Bhosari Police Station, known for handling significant cases and being a sensitive jurisdiction, has set a benchmark by transitioning from a challenging station to a model of excellence.
