Pune: BMI Trust, a Pune-based organization dedicated to rural development and social empowerment, will be participating in the United Nations' highly anticipated "Summit of the Future 2024," to be held in New York on September 22-23. Rajwardhan Joshi, Secretary of BMI Trust, will represent the organization at this event.
The invitation to the summit comes as part of BMI’s involvement with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), a status it has held since 2013.
The trust, known for its work in rural development, women’s empowerment, and support for senior citizens and the visually impaired, has been recognized for its contributions to advancing education, health, and environmental protection.
Founded in 2006, BMI Trust has been at the forefront of rural development initiatives, with a special focus on marginalized communities. Their participation in the "Summit of the Future" marks another significant milestone for the organization.
