Pune: The Chief Minister Vayoshree Scheme, a state initiative to support senior citizens by providing a one-time financial benefit of ₹3,000 directly to their savings accounts, has benefited approximately 3.5 lakh individuals across Maharashtra so far. The scheme, implemented through the Department of Social Welfare, aims to assist senior citizens from all regions of the state.
According to official data, the scheme has received 18,73,694 applications since its inception. Out of these, 13,67,375 applications have been approved, while 2,05,702 applications were rejected due to ineligibility.
An additional 3,00,617 applications are pending approval at the district and municipal levels. Details of 11,92,758 approved applications have been uploaded to the scheme’s portal. Applicants will begin receiving benefits after their Aadhaar numbers are linked to the scheme.
District-Wise Beneficiaries
Kolhapur district has recorded the highest number of beneficiaries under the scheme, with 35,987 senior citizens receiving support. Pune division leads in the number of total beneficiaries, with 69,866 individuals availing of the scheme's benefits. Nagpur division follows closely with 69,861 beneficiaries.

Pending Applications
