Chinchwad: 40-Year-Old Construction Worker Arrested for Lewd Acts with 8-Year-Old Boy

The owner of the construction site later showed some photographs to the children, and they were able to identify accused Nagnath Shrihari Kasale.

Pune: A 40-year-old construction worker has been taken into custody for allegedly engaging in obscene acts with an eight-year-old boy. The incident occurred in Bijalinagar, Chinchwad, on the morning of January 28. The accused, identified as Nagnath Shrihari Kasale, was arrested by Chinchwad Police following a complaint filed by a local resident.

According to the police report, the victim had gone to a friend’s house to play around 11 AM. During this time, Kasale allegedly approached the child and engaged in inappropriate behavior. The boy later recounted the incident to his mother, who immediately informed his father.

Upon learning about the incident, the parents questioned two other children who had been with the victim at the time. These children confirmed that Kasale was a construction worker at a nearby project. The victim’s father, along with neighbors, went to the construction site to locate him, but he was not found there.

The owner of the construction site later showed some photographs to the children, and they were able to identify Kasale. Subsequently, the child’s parents lodged a formal complaint at Chinchwad Police Station. Following the investigation, police tracked down the accused and placed him under arrest.

Chinchwad Police confirmed the arrest and stated that further investigation is underway. Senior Police Inspector Jitendra Koli assured that strict legal action would be taken against the accused. Authorities have also urged parents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities involving children.
