
Pune: Demonstrating unwavering determination and hard work, Abhay Anand Dhage, a resident of Rahu village (Taluka Daund), achieved the 395th rank in the National Defence Academy (NDA) examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
The examination is part of a rigorous selection process for candidates aspiring to join the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Based on their performance in the written test and interview, 641 candidates were shortlisted.
These individuals will now undergo military training while pursuing an engineering degree at the NDA in Khadakwasla, Pune.
A Second Attempt Success
Abhay, who succeeded in his second attempt, completed his primary education at Army Public School, Pune, and secondary education at Gayatri College. His family, originally from Kandhar Taluka in Nanded, currently resides in Pune due to work commitments.
Fulfilling a Lifelong Dream
Abhay’s dream of serving the nation by joining the Armed Forces has been realized. "This achievement reflects years of perseverance, guidance from my family, and the valuable lessons I learned during my pre-recruitment training," said Abhay.
He also emphasized his commitment to upholding the values instilled by his father, a former Army personnel.
A Double Celebration for the Dhage Family
Abhay’s parents, Shakuntala and Anand Dhage, expressed immense pride in his success. Their joy was amplified by the news that their daughter, Aarti Dhage, passed the NEET examination with 623 marks and secured admission to a government medical college for an MBBS degree.
"Abhay’s achievement inspires us all. His dedication, discipline, and commitment have paved the way for a bright future in the Armed Forces," said his father.
