On Wednesday, YouTuber Dhruv Rathee shared an alleged video depicting two women performing an obscene dance on a moving truck during the Kanwar Yatra, and he criticised Hindu right-wing organisations for remaining silent about the incident.
Sharing the video on social media, Rathee wrote, “Where are the RSS, Bajrang Dal, and Sangh Parivar? They are completely silent about this insult to Hinduism. Did they not receive funding to protest against this?” The video has been extensively shared across social media platforms, with users offering conflicting claims about where it originated.
Some asserted it was recorded in Siwan, Bihar, while others maintained it was from Uttar Pradesh. A few social media users further alleged that the incident occurred in a BJP-governed state. The authenticity, location, and date of the video have not been independently verified. The Bridge Chronicle does not endorse or confirm the genuineness of the viral footage.
Rathee’s post sparked an online debate, with many users denouncing the alleged performance and challenging the reactions of groups like the RSS and Bajrang Dal. Some others objected to the spread of unverified assertions related to the video.
The Kanwar Yatra is a yearly pilgrimage carried out by followers of Lord Shiva in the Hindu month of Shravan.
