Pune: EuroKids has announced the launch of the latest version of its ‘Heureka’ curriculum, inspired by Harvard University's Project Zero and aligned with the National Education Policy 2020.
This Visible Thinking Curriculum aims to enhance critical and creative thinking skills in young learners.
In conjunction with this launch, EuroKids revealed plans to significantly expand its presence in Pune and throughout Maharashtra, with the goal of opening 325 new centers in the state over the next five years.
The initiative aims to boost the quality of early education across the region, ultimately targeting a total of 400 centers.
The Heureka curriculum marks a pivotal shift in early education, transitioning from teaching children "what" to think to equipping them with the skills to understand "how" to think.
Featuring 20 structured Thinking Routines inspired by Harvard, the curriculum fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in students.
Developed over 18 months through extensive research and pilot testing, Heureka is rooted in the EPICS philosophy, addressing five key areas of development often overlooked in traditional education: Emotional, Physical, Intellectual, Creative, and Spiritual quotients.
The curriculum encompasses 13 distinct programs, including CodeQuest, EuroKonect, EuroFit, EuroArt, and Elevate, each designed to support a child's unique learning journey and promote both academic success and personal growth.
KVS Seshasai, CEO of EuroKids' Pre-K Division at Lighthouse Learning, remarked, “Our comprehensive approach ensures that children are not only ready for school but equipped for life, giving them the skills to navigate an ever-evolving world.
We look forward to witnessing how this curriculum shapes the thinkers, innovators, and leaders of the future, and we are committed to expanding our footprint in Pune and Maharashtra.”
Dr. Anita Madan, Head of Curriculum Development at EuroKids, added, “Heureka represents a transformative shift in early education. By utilizing the EPICS framework, we focus on fostering a well-rounded development that includes emotional, physical, creative, and spiritual growth alongside intellectual skills.
Our goal is to inspire children not just to answer questions, but to question the answers, cultivating curiosity, critical analysis, and a deeper connection to the world around them.”
