Pune: Nilesh Suresh Mahadik, a determined young man from a humble farming background, has achieved an extraordinary milestone by securing selection for two prestigious positions at once—as a driver in the Mumbai Police Department and as a prison guard in the Jail Police Force.

Hailing from Varoti-Jadhavwadi (Taluka Rajgad), Nilesh defied the odds by staying away from home, dedicating himself to rigorous preparation, and successfully clearing both recruitments through relentless hard work.

Born into a farmer's family, Nilesh’s educational journey began in Pasli (Taluka Rajgad), where he completed his primary education. Determined to continue his studies, he moved to the Torna-Rajgad Parivar Samajonnati Trust, where he stayed while completing 8th to 12th grade. Currently, he is pursuing his college education while residing at the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Center in Bhor.

To prepare for the police recruitment exams, Nilesh took advantage of Sankalp Pratishthan’s free study center in Bhor and underwent intensive physical training at Target Achiever Academy. Additionally, he received technical assistance from Robocop Computers, which helped him complete the MS-CIT course, an important qualification for government employment.

Reflecting on his journey, Nilesh credited his discipline, perseverance, and the supportive environment at Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram for his success. "Many students struggle to achieve their goals even while staying with their families. However, living away from home in a structured and disciplined hostel environment helped me stay focused and achieve success," said Nilesh.

His remarkable accomplishment is being widely praised, as he has set an inspiring example for other students from rural backgrounds aspiring to join the police force.

Nilesh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to those who supported him throughout his journey, including the administrators and executive board members of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Sonesh Pawar from Target Academy, Sudam Ombale from Sankalp Pratishthan, and Vijay Jadhav from Robocop Computers. He emphasized that their guidance and mentorship played a vital role in his success.
