“We should all try to start a new tradition by ending the immersion procession on time,” Kumar said, calling for support from the public to maintain order and punctuality.

One of the key announcements made by the Commissioner was the complete closure of liquor shops on the day of immersion. “Any liquor shop that stays open on that day will face serious consequences,” he warned, adding that such violations could lead to long-term licensing bans.

Police personnel have also been instructed to take immediate action against those participating in the procession under the influence of alcohol.

Strict rules will be in place during the procession, including a ban on dancing shirtless and causing public nuisance. Authorities will record videos of unruly behaviour and use them for awareness and enforcement purposes. Citizens have been requested to voluntarily follow guidelines, avoid disturbances, and contribute to making the procession a matter of pride and peace for the city.
