
Pune: India’s Global Capability Center (GCC) sector is set for significant expansion, with an estimated 4.25–4.5 lakh new jobs in 2025 and a projected 1 million jobs by 2030, according to NLB Services' latest report, "India’s Talent Takeoff – The GCC 4.0 Story."
The report provides a detailed analysis of hiring trends for 2025 and a forecast for the next six years, highlighting India’s dominance in the GCC ecosystem. With its skilled workforce and favorable policies, India has cemented its position as the top GCC destination, with 35% of GCCs planning to expand their workforce by 50-100% this year.
The report underscores the growing demand for fresh talent, particularly in key areas such as:
Customer Experience & Support Services (17%)
Cybersecurity & Data Protection (17%)
Digital Transformation & Automation (14%)
Hiring in these sectors will be driven by major GCC hubs, including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai.
The report highlights a major shift toward gender diversity, with 61% of GCCs expecting a 50% rise in women hires by 2030—a significant jump from just 7% this year.
Among India’s key GCC hubs:
Bengaluru is expected to lead, with 17% of GCCs planning over 50% growth in female hiring.
Hyderabad is projected to see a moderate increase of up to 20% in women hiring.
Delhi is likely to experience a hiring freeze this year, with 28% of GCCs reporting no change or a decline.
By 2030, the hiring landscape is expected to shift significantly: Delhi is projected to emerge as the front-runner, with 77% of GCCs targeting a 50%+ rise in women hiring. Pune (42%) will follow closely, while Bengaluru (65%) and Chennai (72%) will maintain steady growth in gender diversity initiatives.
According to Sachin Alug, CEO of NLB Services, "As India moves into the GCC 4.0 era, workforce synergies will be a top priority. Our report highlights how hiring is expanding beyond core technology roles, with demand rising in finance, manufacturing, and sustainability. The need for high-demand skills such as Financial Services (79%), Marketing & Digital Advertising (73%), Engineering & Manufacturing (69%), and Human Resource & Talent Management (68%) will play a key role in scaling operations and leadership development," said Alug.
City-Wise Hiring Trends in GCC Sector
The report highlights major hiring trends across India's leading GCC hubs. Delhi and Pune both expect 10% growth, with Delhi emerging as a hub for professional services and Pune excelling in automotive and digital transformation.
