During the visit, the Commissioner reviewed locations where traffic bottlenecks are a daily issue and suggested several practical measures to manage the flow better. These include diverting traffic at critical squares, introducing one-way systems in selected stretches, and enforcing changes on a trial basis for one month to assess their effectiveness.

He also pointed out the need to remove the MSEB (Maharashtra State Electricity Board) transformer box located near the service road beside the Hinjawadi Police Station flyover, which is currently obstructing traffic movement.

Some key areas identified for intervention include:

  • Regulating traffic at Jambhulkar Chowk and Indian Oil Petrol Pump junction.

  • Setting up barricades at Shell Petrol Pump Square to restrict vehicles moving against traffic.

  • Reviewing flow and congestion management near Mindtree Consulting junction.
