

Renowned Odia vocalist Humane Sagar has been admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar due to severe chronic liver failure and is currently in a critical state, according to an official statement from the medical facility.
The singer, aged 36, was admitted to the hospital on Friday and was diagnosed with multi-organ dysfunction syndrome, acute chronic liver failure, bilateral pneumonia, and other complications, according to the report.
He is currently in a critical condition and is receiving non-invasive ventilator support, the statement mentioned. BJD leader and former chief minister Naveen Patnaik voiced his concern regarding Sagar's hospitalization.
He expressed his wishes for a quick and full recovery, hoping he would soon be back with his family, music, and community, rejuvenated and secure. 'Get well soon,' he mentioned in a post on X.
Sagar gained fame after winning the second season of a reality singing contest in 2012, and his songs have enjoyed considerable popularity in the region.
