A bomb threat prompted an IndiGo flight traveling from Kuwait to Delhi to be rerouted to Ahmedabad airport on Friday morning. The aircraft, which had 180 passengers on board, landed at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport as a precautionary step.

As reported by PTI, airport officials have stated that no suspicious items have been discovered on the aircraft so far.

According to an airport official cited by PTI, the plane touched down safely at Ahmedabad Airport at approximately 6:40 AM, carrying 180 passengers.

The flight was rerouted to Ahmedabad as a safety precaution after a passenger discovered a handwritten note on a piece of paper alleging there was a bomb on board, according to airport officials.

Upon receiving information about the threat, the pilot notified air traffic control, leading to the aircraft being rerouted to Ahmedabad. Once it landed, all passengers were safely disembarked. Security teams and airport staff subsequently conducted a comprehensive search of the plane.

An airport official stated that no suspicious items have been found yet, and the flight might depart once it receives the final approval.
