INSPIRE Awards: 23 Young Innovators from Pune Recognized in National Science Competition

Pune: A total of 23 students from 17 branches of the Pune District Education Board have secured a place in the prestigious INSPIRE Award initiative, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. This initiative is designed to promote interest in science among students from Classes 6 to 10 and to encourage innovative thinking.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who is also the president of the institution, applauded the students for their achievements and encouraged them to excel at higher levels.

Each selected student will receive a grant of ₹10,000 from the central government to develop their science projects. Additionally, if their projects qualify at district, state, or national levels, they stand to receive further recognition and awards. The selected students, hailing from different parts of Pune district, have demonstrated innovative ideas and scientific curiosity, making them eligible for this competitive award.

Last year, 14 students from 10 branches were selected for the award. This year’s 23 selected students, along with the previous batch, will receive additional guidance and mentorship from the institution to help them excel at state and national competitions.

Vice President Rajendra Ghadge and Honorary Secretary Advocate Sandeep Kadam have assured full support to the students in refining their projects. Treasurer Adv. Mohanrao Deshmukh, Deputy Secretary L. M. Pawar, and Assistant Secretary A. M. Jadhav credited the success to the dedicated efforts of science teachers and the strong backing of the institution.
