Pune: The 33rd edition of India’s largest agricultural exhibition, KISAN Agri Show, is set to commence on December 11 and will run until December 15, 2024, at the Pune International Exhibition and Convention Centre (PIECC), Moshi, near Bhosari, Pune.
Spanning a vast area of 15 acres, the exhibition will host over 500 companies showcasing the latest products and innovations in the agriculture sector.
Organizers anticipate a massive turnout of over 120,000 visitors from across India, and registrations have already surpassed expectations.
With special pavilions for Agri Inputs, Protected Cultivation, Water Management, Tools and Implements, Seeds, and Planting Material, the event aims to cater to the diverse needs of farmers.
Attendees will also witness advanced farming technologies designed specifically for Indian agro-climatic conditions.
Technology Meets Agriculture
Farmers can pre-register for the event via the KISAN mobile app, which serves as a platform for industry experts and farmers to interact and exchange knowledge. So far, over 30,000 farmers have registered, with the number expected to exceed 100,000.
The KISAN mobile app also allows companies to list their products digitally, making them accessible to farmers nationwide. Through the app, users can explore products, view brochures, watch videos, and initiate discussions with exhibitors even before the physical exhibition begins.
Introducing Matimol: A Focus on Soil Health
A unique addition this year is Matimol, a thematic arena emphasizing the importance of soil health. Jointly developed by the Department of Biotechnology and Savitribai Phule Pune University, this initiative aims to raise awareness about soil vitality and help farmers understand their soil conditions better.
Business Lounge for B2B Collaborations
To promote business partnerships, a dedicated business lounge has been set up. This space will facilitate discussions, collaborations, and joint ventures between agricultural companies, experts, and stakeholders.
Inauguration by Farmers
True to its farmer-centric ethos, the exhibition will be inaugurated by a group of farmers. The event will be held at the Pune International Exhibition and Convention Centre, a premier facility developed by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA).
