Kothrud: Bedekar Ganpati Temple to Host 34th Ram Navami Festival in Rambaug Colony

Pune: The Bedekar Ganpati Temple in Rambaug Colony, Kothrud, in association with the Sangeetacharya Pt. D. V. Kanebuva Pratishthan, has organized its 34th annual Ram Navami festival.

The festival, which runs from Gudi Padwa to Ram Navami, will feature renowned artists performing classical and semi-classical music, devotional singing, and kirtan.

Festival organizers Govind Bedekar and vocalist Manjusha Patil have invited music lovers to attend the performances, which will be held daily at 5:30 PM at the Bedekar Ganpati Temple auditorium.

Festival Schedule

The festival will commence on March 30, with an Abhangrang session at 7:00 AM, followed by a vocal recital by Pt. Venkatesh Kumar at 5:30 PM.

The lineup of performances includes:

March 31: Santoor and Sarod jugalbandi by Tara Kanan

April 1: Flute recital by Shadja Godkhindi and vocal recital by Dhananjay Joshi

April 2: Vocal recital by Manjusha Patil

April 3: Vocal recital by Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar

April 4: Vocal recital by Pt. Shaunak Abhisheki

April 5: Vocal recital by Dr. Ashwini Bhide

The festival will conclude on Ram Navami with a kirtan by Charudattbuva Afale, and the celebration of Lord Ram’s birth will take place at 12:00 PM. This cultural and spiritual event is open to all.
